Lauren's 2¢: Twist (Dive Bar, #2) by Kylie Scott

From New York Times bestselling author Kylie Scott comes the second sizzling stand-alone novel in the Dive Bar series!

When his younger brother loses interest in online dating, hot bearded bartender Joe Collins only intends to log into his account and shut it down. Until he reads about her.

Alex Parks is funny, fascinating, and pretty much everything he's been looking for in a woman—except that she lives across the country. Soon they're emailing up a storm and telling each other their deepest, darkest secrets...except the one that really matters.

When Alex pays Joe a surprise visit, however, they both discover that when it comes to love, it's always better with a twist.

Let’s get one thing straight: it is impossible not to love Joe, even if he did pose as his brother online. Im-poss-ible. He’s like a giant, cuddly, sweet and understanding teddy bear.

Joe = a winner.

Alex is pretty fantastic, too. And brave, even if she doesn’t see it. The size of her woman balls… Traveling to visit someone without them knowing you’re coming, someone you’ve never met in person before. And mind you, there’s no MTV Catfish team with you. She was solo. Guts. Lots of them.

And then, get this, she stays. I won’t tell you why or how. Just know that she stays.

The friends/owners/workers at Dive Bar are hard not to love, even if they’ve lied to you and led you on. Okay, only one did that, but still… Alex, a rather introverted person, learns quickly that there’s something special about this group of individuals. Sometimes you can find love in the most unlikely place, or person.

Listen, much like just about every other Kylie Scott book I’ve picked up, Twist is well worth the read.
