He promised to leave me alone, but that was a lie. I should have known he’d have this pull on me—seeping through my skin and into my bones, burning me from the outside in. It’s just like when we were kids, and I can no longer avoid him. I’ve accepted it, but what will it take to convince him that I am no longer his? Is that really what I want?
I told her I’d leave her alone. But who was I kidding? I’ve never been one to back away from a challenge. He stole my girl—my future—from me. I’m coming back with a vengeance. I’m taking back what he took from me. After all the secrets and lies, can we come back from this? Even if it breaks me, I’ll stop at nothing to protect what’s always been mine.
I have been
waiting for Breaking Ryann to release
for over a year! And now that I’ve gotten my hands on it, I can finally breathe
a sigh of relief. If you’ve read the first two books, you know that Alyssa is
the queen of the cliff. She likes to leave her readers dangling precariously.
This time we finally get some answers, some much needed closure. Thank God.
Luke Ryann
and Reese Johnson have been through a lot. A LOT! And are currently not in a
good place. Reese thinks Luke is married to another woman, Luke has to watch Reese with her new
main squeeze (Sean), and both Reese and Luke want nothing more than to be with
one another, even if they can’t admit it. If you remember, Luke’s dad killed
Reese’s father, and then Luke killed his own father in retaliation. It was intense and
upsetting and Reese knows nothing of it. She thinks Luke is cheating scum, not
the man who risked it all to ensure her safety. While most of the danger has finally passed
out of their lives, some still lurks in the distance, waiting to strike.
After
finishing Resisting Ryann, I wasn’t
sure where Alyssa would take this story, and to be honest, I just wanted
answers. I wanted happiness. I wanted Reese and Luke to ride happily into the
sunset. I wanted a HEA! I was tired of the ledge I’d been dangling from since I
met these two characters. Without giving anything away, I got most of - if not
all of - what I wanted. Most importantly, I got answers and closure. Two things
I so desperately needed.
Breaking
Ryann was worth the wait. If you haven’t started this series, I highly
recommend it, especially now since it’s complete. You’ll only have to dangle
from the edge of a book for a matter of minutes; I had to wait years for my
answers. Alyssa Rae Taylor is extremely talented, and I for one can’t wait to
see what she comes with next. I just hope I don’t have to wait a year to get my
hands on it.
