I Have a Confession to Make

Multiple confessions...

  1. I love lists. Be prepared for them to pop-up often.
  2. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.
I've never created a blog before. I tried to create a blog once. It never amounted to anything. I had nothing interesting to write about… I have written for one. Does that count? You may have read some of my reviews over at Madison Says! While I enjoyed my time with Madison, it was time for me to branch out on my own.
  1. The name of this blog has changed countless times.
My best friend and sister from another mister (Casey) can attest to this. She has received countless text messages and phone calls over the past few months. We came up with soooo many names. Some I loved, they were taken of course, and some I absolutely couldn’t stand. I came up with most of those. It’s in moments like these that I realize how lucky I am to have her in my life. Thank you Casey (Beatrice and Shannon, too) for resisting the urge to punch me in the ovaries while thinking up various blog names.

That brings me to what I really wanted to write about….

Why Inked in Chapters?

First of all, a book is written in chapters; if you buy the print version, it is obviously in ink. Tada!
That’s not the real, or only reason for this title.

You see, in our lives we go through “chapters”. Have you ever read Hopeless by Colleen Hoover? Good book. If you haven’t, you should! Every so often the main character calls for a chapter break. Much like a tattoo, our life chapters permanently ink the heart, soul, and occasionally the skin.

It is my hope that Inked in Chapters can not only be a book blog but a life blog. One where I can share silly stories, book reviews, cover reveals, and whatever else tickles my fancy.  Along the way I’d love to hear from you, too. I want to hear about your chapters. Together we can write our own book.
