Welcome to the release of Trixsters Anonymous by Ahren Sanders

Trixsters Anonymous Ebook Sassy, dramatic, hot-headed are just some of the words used to describe me since the time I was born. A few little mishaps growing up and my mom has a running ‘Emerson Baker’ prayer circle, and I have the reputation of a spit-fire that won’t go away.
I prefer the terms loyal, passionate, fiery, and possibly a bit impulsive.
So when my best friend proposes the concept of starting our own business, I jump on the idea.
CHEATERS BEWARE!
That should be our motto… because your secrets can’t stay hidden for long with Trixsters Anonymous on the case.
We are the moonlighting duo hell-bent on helping those who suspect their lovers are cheating. We’re professional, careful, and completely anonymous…What could possibly go wrong?
Walker Scott… that’s what goes wrong.
I never stood a chance against the gorgeous, hazel-eyed, fiercely determined man who storms into my life and completely blindsides me.
He’s the proof that opposites attract—and when they do, the chemistry is explosive.
Did I mention he’s also a detective? A very, very, talented detective?
Pretty soon being a Trixster is a lot more complicated.

Trixters Anonymous is the latest standalone by Ahren Sanders. It doesn't connect with any of her previous books and I loved every second of this story!

Emerson Baker is the local hothead/spitfire/best friend I always wanted. She's perpetually single and doesn't quite mind it. During a run-in at the local police station she meets Walker Scott and her life changes as she knows it.

Walker Scott is ex-Army and newly appointed detective of the local police department. Not looking for a relationship and comfortable in his current bachelor status, he takes one look at Emi and knows he'll never find another girl like her.

I. Loved. This. Book. Loved it! There's something really special about Ahren Sanders writing and it needs to be read by the masses! She's got such a great way of writing her characters that you can't help but relate to them and fall in love throughout the chapters.

Trixters is SO funny and heartwarming. I couldn't help but laugh and just keep turning the page. Trixters is angst-free and super fun without any real fallout between between our main characters. Emi and her best friend Maren start a fantastic business while she's learning the ropes of being in a relationship with super hot alpha Walker and I repeat, I loved every word!

About the Author(1)

Ahren spent her formative years living in an active volcano. There her family made collectible lava art. She studied rock collecting at the Sorbonne in France. There she met the love of her life-her pet pig Sybil. She returned to the states and started writing. She is happily married to a guy who used to live under a bridge and she met while pole-dancing. Now, meet the real me. I grew up in the south and consider myself a true “Southerner”. Most of the special locations mentioned in my books are reflections of my favorite places. Living on the Florida coast, my family spends a lot time at the beach, which is where I usually can be found with a book in my hand.

Monster Among the Roses by Linda Kage Release Day Blitz, Giveaway, + Sarah's 2¢!

Will you dare to gaze upon the monster among the roses?

MONSTER AMONG THE ROSES
Fairy Tale Quartet #1
Linda Kage
Releasing July 24, 2017

“Do you know how to get to the rose garden?”
“No, you can’t go there. A monster lives there.”

Shaw Hollander is desperate.

Broke, unemployed, and determined to help his ailing mother, he falls on the good graces of a wealthy benefactor who is willing to give Shaw a job at his mansion in order to pay off his mother’s debts. Suddenly finding himself surrounded by lavish riches, he has no idea what his duties truly entail until he’s sent to the rose garden and meets the tragically mutilated Isobel.

This Beauty and the Beast story holds true to the core of the fable while shaking off the element of fantasy and dragging it into present day reality. Shaw and Isobel are ready to let you climb into their four-wheel-drive pickup and take a ride with them into their version of happily ever after, but only if you first dare to gaze upon the monster among the roses.

Monster Among the Roses is Linda Kage's latest standalone in her Fairy Tale Quartet.  I see this being a series of complete standalones with a common theme among them.

Ok.  So.  Monster Among the Roses is loosely based on Beauty and the Beast.  I love this concept!  Modern day fairy tales give me the warm fuzzies.  I thought this story was really sweet and very well written.  Linda Kage has a way of getting you immersed into her characters lives and she does it in a special way.

I absolutely loved Shaw Hollander.  He's basically giving up his entire life to make sure his mother is secure in her own and he doesn't care the cost.  He's contracted to work with the local big wig of his town to take all of his mothers debt away.

Isobel Nash isn't mentioned in the book until we meet her.  She's mean to basically everyone and I feel her pain.  After much coaxing, she opens up to Shaw and they have a beautiful love story.

The one thing that I didn't love about this book was the characters ages.  It's written as more young adult (aside from love scenes) instead of contemporary or new adult.  For Shaw being age 28 and Isobel 25, if felt the maturity of their characters could have been older.  Or they should have been younger.  It just didn't match their ages and I had a hard time coming to terms with that.

Aside from the age thing, I really did enjoy this read.  It's emotional, heartwarming and has a really sweet HEA.

I grew up on a dairy farm in the Midwest as the youngest of eight children. Now I live in Kansas with my husband, two daughters, nine cuckoo clocks, and a cat named Holly. My life's been blessed with lots of people to learn from and love. Writing's always been a major part my world, and I'm so happy to finally share some of my stories with other romance lovers.

I'm a member of Romance Writers of America, and I've been through a writing correspondence class in children's literature from The Institute of Children's Literarture, and then I continued my writing lessons by majoring in English with an emphasis in creative fiction writing from Pittsburg State University.

Beautiful Mistake by Vi Keeland Blog Tour + Sarah's 2¢!

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.
He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out.
When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.
You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend--smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married.
He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.
Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.
Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy.
Oops.  My mistake.
Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology.
I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right?
That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning.
Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant.
I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking.
Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West.

This was going to be interesting…

Beautiful Mistake is the latest standalone from Vi Keeland.  It doesn't connect at all with any of her other books, per usual, but I kind of wish it did for some reason.

Rachel Martin is a graduate student in Brooklyn, tends bar at a local dive, and kind of lives a lonely life.  She relies on music to get her through tough times.  When she finds herself as the TA of the guy she cursed out the night before, she's in for a wild ride.

Caine West is the hot professor.  He's young enough, sexy, and takes no shit from students.  Don't be late on Caine West's watch.  He knows from the moment he see's Rachel that there's something special and familiar about her and he's immediately drawn to her.

I've got to say, I wanted more from Beautiful Mistake.  I wanted the student/teacher angst.  I wanted more mystery to why Caine knew Rachel from the past.  I feel like it was just given away and I was left longing for that what the heck moment.  I loved their banter and playfulness, Caine is SUPER sexy, but this one was just a miss for me.  With most of Vi Keeland's books, I find that the pattern of the past tense male pov chapters getting to be a little old.  It's been the same in the last few books of hers and I was expecting something different but it wasn't delivered.

I guess I'm going to be the lone wolf here and say I liked the book but it didn't do it for me like Vi's work usually does.  Maybe it was my missed connection to the characters?  The use of the Catholic church?  Not sure.  I'm going to chalk this one up to a fluke and move on, because I cannot wait for Vi and Penelope Ward's next release coming soon!
