He was my brother's best friend and the definition of unavailable.
But I didn't care.
I had loved him for as long as I could remember.
He was worth the risk. He was worth everything.
But then he broke my heart as easily as I fell for him. He watched me fall, spiraling out of control, and as I reached for him, he wasn't there to catch me.
So I ran.
Four years later, I never expected to see him again.
He was still my brother's best friend, and he was more unavailable than ever.
He looked every bit the bad boy I knew he was, covered in tattoos and a crooked smile.
Guarding my heart from him was top priority because Parker James was where good girls go to die.
Unfortunately for him, I wasn't a good girl anymore.

Truth be told, Holly's writing sucked me in from the get-go. Before stumbling upon this novel, I'd never heard of this author. What a damn shame. Honestly.
Where Good Girls Go to Die is right up my alley. A strong heroine, a good-hearted yet tough hero... Come on now. What more could you want? There was plenty of sexual tension and straight up miscommunication. Isn't that always the case?
My only real complaint is pretty minimal. Okay, maybe there are two...
1. Terminology. If you're going to write a novel about a tattoo artist, at least take the time to research the proper terminology. Hell, watch a couple episodes of Ink Master. They basically outline terms on each show.
2. There was kinda maybe sorta a little cheating moment. I wish it hadn't happened quite the way it did, but I didn't hate any of the characters because of it. If you're extremely sensitive to "cheating," you may want to skip this book. I'd hate for Holly to take a hit in ratings because of a tiny blip.
Listen. I LOVE stumbling across new authors, even if they're only new to me. You can be sure that after reading Where Good Girls Go to Die, I will exercise my one-click finger where this lady is concerned. You should, too. It's a great read, one that shouldn't be missed.
