Sarah's 2¢: Sexy Six by Ahren Sanders

Sexy Six by Ahren Sanders is LIVE, and we have Sarah's thoughts!

They call me Sexy Six

Cocky? Absof*ckinglutely
Sexy? That’s what they say
Unstoppable? You bet your ass

NFL Golden boy, Super Bowl MVP, and the league’s hottest player—on and off the field. To most, I’m a celebrity, with the records to prove it.

Fame, fortune, family… I’ve got it all.

Except Grace Monroe.

Two years ago, Grace turned my world upside down with just one look. I didn’t stand a chance against the shy, southern beauty with the radiant violet eyes. Our intense connection was unlike any force I’ve ever faced. Then she disappeared, without a word, leaving me with nothing but questions, a handful of memories, and a lifetime of what-ifs.

Now she’s back, and so much more than the girl I once knew. Stunning, successful, and sexy as sin, she’s my fantasy come true.

One taste, one touch, one moan, and I’m addicted.

Grace is the game changer I never saw coming. Everything I’ve ever wanted is finally within reach.

Suddenly, I’m playing the most important game of my life… a game where losing isn’t an option.

Because this time… winning means forever.

What happens when you come face to face with the 'one who got away'?

Sexy Six is Ahren Sanders latest standalone novel. It centers around Nick Bennett and Grace Monroe, Nick is the brother of Shaw from her previous book Hotshot. It works well by itself but there are many chapters featuring Shaw and Bizzy so I recommend reading Hotshot first.

Nick Bennett is the star quarterback of Miami's football team, he's a Super Bowl MVP and family man. He's never been one for relationships until the one that got away suddenly comes back into his life.

"Sweet Grace Judy may be my undoing."

Grace Monroe is your typical southern girl. She was raised right by her mama and daddy. She knew after her first date with Nick years ago that there would be more, but family obligations took her away from what she thought would be her future.
"Kissing Nick Bennett has my entire body drowning in a way I never thought possible. It's all-consuming, the kind of experience that can never be forgotten."

If there's one thing I can say about Ahren Sanders, it's that I absolutely LOVE her writing style. This is the third book I've read from her and she writes with a fast build up. Her characters relationship grows and develops throughout the story with minimal angst and I really adore that. It's a refreshing change from so many slow burns.

Sexy Six is FUNNY! Ahren is kind of known for pulling all emotions in her books but man, I wasn't expecting to laugh out loud as many times as I did. With that said, I loved Grace and Nick's banter, and their family relationships.

My only downside to Sexy Six is that the characters didn't grip me like her others have. I really loved the story and the concept but I guess I was wanting just a little more angst or tension? Not sure. Either way, it's a great story and I'm looking forward to Mathis' book!
