Say You Want Me is Corinne Michaels latest standalone. It interconnects with Say You'll Stay, but it reads well by itself. With that being said, I don't really enjoy cowboys, country music, and that general genre of anything. If Corinne is writing it? I'm reading it. Hands down, her Hennington boys are life!!
Angie Benson and Wyatt Hennington had a couple flings. Angie is the sister-in-law of Presley, Wyatt is Zach's brother. Angie is tied to Bell Buckle, Tennessee because of her family. She's loving her independent life in Philadelphia and doesn't want for anything, especially a relationship.
"I don't want him to fall in love with me.
I don't want to want him.
I want for us to be friends.
I want to not fall in love with him.
But there's a very good chance I'm not going to be able to stop it."
Wyatt is Bell Buckle's resident ladies man. He gives as good as he gets and is unapologetic in that as well. He's the healer of his family, always coming to their rescue, but pushes them away when he needs the rescuing.
"With Angie, its as if my life didn't really make sense until her."
Angie and Wyatt's relationship is funny, endearing and ultimately heartbreaking. They endure the highest of highs and absolute lowest of lows. Reading Corinne's words through their voices was extremely gripping.
"Forgiving someone isn't a surrender, it's a gift."
I'll say it again, Corinne's cowboys are my favorite! She writes of Bell Buckle like she's lived there. Say You Want Me was so hard for me to put down! I loved getting into Angie and Wyatt's head and finding out what was going to happen next. With that said, I can't wait for the third installment in this series of standalones, Say I'm Yours.
