RECKLESS HEARTS by Melody Grace Blog Tour: Reni's Review + Giveaway!

“When you’re ready for a real man to show you what it feels like, you just let me know.”

It should be the offer of a lifetime: sexy craftsman Will Montgomery wants to rock my world, and boy, does he know what to do with his hands – and that filthy, delicious mouth of his…

Only problem is, I don’t believe in relationships. And Will has ‘boyfriend material’ written all over his chiseled, hunky abs. He was supposed to be an impulse fling, but now he’s shown up in Oak Harbor, NC, to put down roots, and he’s determined to make me com…mit.

I’ve been hurt before. Love always ends in tears and tequila, but Will seems different. He’s charming and funny, and did I mention that miraculous mouth of his? Despite all my better judgment, I’m falling. Hard. But can something this good turn out to be true? Or will old scars keep us from building a future together? For the first time ever, maybe I want to be proven wrong...

A sexy, heart-felt stand-alone with a guaranteed happy ending from New York Times bestselling author, Melody Grace!

Praise for Reckless Hearts

"Reckless Hearts is sexy, sweet, and the perfect summer read! Melody Grace has outdone herself!” - Corinne Michaels, USA Today bestselling author

"Sweet, sexy deliciousness. Reckless Hearts had me in a constant swoon! This is a summer must read!" - A.L. Jackson, NYT Bestselling Author

I dove into Reckless Hearts headfirst and completely blind. This was my first tango with Ms. Grace, and I’d say we made pretty good dance partners.

I absolutely loved the beginning scene…

Picture it:
Girl doesn’t get job.
Girl goes into bar to drown her sorrows in a glass of something –anything – with alcohol in it.
Girl’s purse is stolen…
Along comes boy, a complete stranger, to save the day.
And then the police arrive…
It’s fun. It’s endearing. It’s real.

Hey, it could happen.

Then things got a little crazy.

Will (the knight in shining armor) up and moves to Delilah’s (the girl who needed rescuing) hometown, because she happened to mention it was an awesome place to live. A bit creepy, if you ask me…

Anyway…

Will is running from something. I’m sure you deduced that. We don’t find out what until the end, and of course, Delilah has an issue with it. She’s pretty headstrong and independent.  It was a nice change of pace to have a heroine anti-relationship, rather than always having the hero more of the commitmentphobe. News of the what didn’t go over well (naturally) and there’s trouble in paradise.

Reckless Hearts follows the same formula as most romance novels. Nothing wrong with that, it’s just a bit predictable. Sometimes predictable is good, like when you’re sitting on a beach somewhere with a fruity umbrella clad drink. It’s not a heart wrenching, gut pulverizing novel, and it’s also not an overly light and fluffy piece. I think this story is somewhere in the middle. It didn’t blow me away, but I wasn’t let down either. Melody Grace can count on me reading another of her novels, so I’d consider this one a win.
