Reeve and Leary are on opposing sides of a medical malpractice case in Raleigh, NC. Reeve works for big business, Leary works for the downtrodden and has personal ties to the case. They'll stop at nothing to get their win but want to keep their love life separate. Can they make it?
I absolutely loved Reeve's dominant yet sweet demeanor. He is excellent at his job and always tries to put Leary first. After a decision he made on the case that he didn't take lightly, he's not sure if he'll ever have her trust again.
Leary will stop at nothing to get her win and uses all of her assets to excel in her field. She's an advocate for the little guy but is a pit bull in the courtroom. She knows that Reeve has feelings for her and hopes that their affection can withstand the harsh setting of their case.
After reading Friction, I find myself pining for more in the Legal Affairs series. Not because it was missing something, but because I absolutely love Sawyer's smart writing and knowledge of the legal field. She aced this one for sure!
