I don’t even know where to
begin. This book… Vengeance is Mine
was in-sane. This was my first taste of Kasey’s writing and I’m almost ashamed
to say that it won’t be my last. This is the type of guilty pleasure that makes
you thank the Lord for e-readers.
Alecia is this sweet, innocent,
family oriented girl. That all goes to hell in a handbag after her parents are
brutally murdered. I think murdered
parents would cause anyone to crack, but Alecia is out for blood. She wants the
heads of everyone involved with her parents’ untimely demise. With the help of
an anonymous source, two old family friends, and three overly slutty women,
Alicia (or should I say Ella) is well prepared to take down the Spades MC.
I’m tired of waiting. So, now, I’m going to get my revenge. I’m going to destroy the lives of everyone who was involved in my parents’ murders. My target is the Spades MC and those motherfuckers are about to meet their maker.
Vengeance is mine.
I have to say, I don’t
quite understand why Ella (AKA Alecia) claims that people call her the Praying
Mantis. Yes, she kills a bunch of dudes after sleeping with them, BUT it all
happens at once, and if done correctly, no one would know but her and a few
trusted friends. And they wouldn’t tell a soul. Beyond all that, Ella degrades
herself for months! We’re talking a year or so here. I can’t see sleeping with
the scum of the world simply to kill them all. Why are you putting yourself
through that? There has to be another way. Granted, it was entertaining...
Still, ew. Double ew. Only one of them
was anywhere near decent.
Taser.
*Sigh* I want a Taser. No,
not the shocking weapon kind - the big-bad-biker variety. I realize he’s part
of a pathetically horrible MC, but he’s still just so damn yummy. Out of all
the men in Spades MC, Taser is by FAR the best. And the hot, steamy, rough sex
between Ella and Taser is… *fans herself* Yeah…
Don’t read this book if
you’re easily offended. (That goes for any MC novel.) Vengeance
is Mine is over the top! We’re talking COMPLETELY unrealistic. I just
couldn’t help but love it. I couldn’t put the damn thing down. It’s degrading
and empowering in the same breath. A very odd combination. Kacey hooked me from
the get-go. I can’t wait to get my hands on more of her work!
