Deep Surrendering (Episode 5)

by Chelsea M. Cameron
July 2014

With thousands of miles separating them, will Fin and Marisol be able to keep their relationship alive? Or will the distance finally come between them?

At the end of Deep Surrendering: Episode 4, Fin left to go work overseas for 2 months.  This is nothing new, he’s a world class traveler. I still don’t understand the reasoning behind it, but then again, maybe I’m not supposed to “get it” quite yet. The reasoning definitely has something to do with his father. Why would Fin put up with all this crap otherwise? Maybe daddy dearest has some dirt on his mental mess of a son. It’s not like the Fin is a pansy. He has a backbone. He’s whipped that sucker out in the bedroom a time or two. Exercising it in relation to his family? Now that’s another story all together. And where is his mother? We hear about his dad fairly often but not so much when it comes to mama.

And then I came to a realization.Fin was never getting out. He'd never be free of his father. Not unless he was willing to do something drastic and risk losing everything. I didn't know what it would take, but I didn't think Fin was ready for it. I didn't know if I'd have the courage for that.

Anyway…

This entire episode deals with distance. Physical distance… Emotional distance….
Fin and Marisol are now separated by an ocean. That doesn’t mean that the sexy time has come to a screeching halt. Oh no, anything is possible with a webcam and a dirty mind… The two come up with some pretty interesting ways to get around the miles between them. But as things progress, feelings run deep. Fin doesn’t do the feels. Being half way across the world can come in handy when you don’t want to face your feelings.

"I wish I was there," I said. So much that my chest started to ache again like it had when he'd walked out and left me sitting on his bed.

"You are. You'll always be with me."

Deep Surrendering: Episode 5 dives a little deeper into the twisted lives of both Fin AND Marisol. There are more secrets than the ones Fin hides. I can’t to find out what Chelsea has in store for this unlikely pair.
