Ava McKenzie is a creature of habit. Life is passing her by and she has nothing to show for it. She’s had the same job since she started college, she orders the same dish every time she goes to her favorite restaurant, and only reads books from authors she knows. There is nothing new or surprising in her life… until her best friend marries a man from London. When her newlywed friend asks her to house-sit while she honeymoons, Ava jumps at the chance. She thinks this could be the very thing she needs to shake up her life. Ava throws herself head first into her new lifestyle; she wants to try everything, go everywhere, and never get stuck in a rut again. Of course, offing a man in a car garage hadn’t been one of the things on her list to try.
Owen Walker spends every day in a new place with a new case. As one of the most renowned assassins in the world, he has his choice of marks—and he’s never failed in a mission. When a new hit takes him back to his hometown, he looks forward to spending time somewhere familiar. What he isn’t expecting is to help an attractive, confused American woman find out how she’s ended up on a hit man’s list.
As Ava and Owen dodge bullets, will they be able to escape their undeniable attraction to each other? Or will all of that chemistry blow up in a shower of hot and dangerous sparks?

What can I say about The Accidental Assassin? Well, first off, I hope I never find myself in Ava’s
position. Accidentally running someone over in a parking garage is not my idea
of a good time. But in doing so, she met Owen, so it wasn’t all bad. Sorry about your squished head, Mr. Song,
but I just found the love of my life in between whizzing bullets.
Ava is a seemingly sweet American that jumped at the chance
to house sit for her very best friend in England. Sounds pretty snazzy, right?
Well, Ava has an interesting time trying to adjust, that is until all hell
breaks loose. It’s funny how she finds
her footing in the midst of a man hunt.
Owen is the REAL assassin. He was sent to kill the man that
Ava pancaked with a car. For some reason he decides to assist Ava as she runs
for her life. Turns out she’s not the only one they’re looking for.
I had no right to claim this beautiful woman, but it was too late. She had found a place in my heart and I would kill anyone that tried to take her away.
I will be brutally honest. It took me for-ev-er to get
through this book. It’s not that it was bad, or boring, or poorly written; it
just wasn’t for me. Nothing reached out, grabbed me, and sucked me into the
pages. Does that happen from time to time? Sure. Will you have the same issue?
Maybe. Maybe not. You may pick up Nichole’s book and not be able to put it
down. I just couldn’t for the life of me connect with the characters. I did, however, really enjoy Ava. She’s not
your typical girl. She’s both hard and soft. When faced with adversity she
doesn’t back down, but her knees wobble a little. Get it?
Overall, I can’t say I loved the book. I liked it well
enough, but The Accidental Assassin just
wasn’t for me. I wish Nichole had dug deeper into the story line. I wish we got
more at the end. What happened with the police? Where do they go from here? I
know that there are more books in the series, but I just would have liked a
greater taste of their future in this
book. If you like action and suspense,
mixed with some lust and love, The Accidental
Assassin is probably a good choice for you.
